	Lauging Gas: Nitrous Oxide Sedation Nitrous Oxide Sedation Nitrous oxide, most commonly known as ‘laughing gas’ is offered to you for any dental procedure here at Dr. Matthew Bayne’s office. Nitrous oxide is described as being sedated and relaxed while still awake. The gas is a mix of Nitrogen and oxide, creating a calming effect that helps anxious or nervous patients. The great aspect about ‘laughing’ gas is that you are still aware of everything going on around you. Once the gas is removed and we have administered oxygen only, you can drive your car and function.
