It is a very fast procedure (usually just 2 visits) that dramatically whitens and improves your smile. It is performed in the office, usually with no shots or anesthesia. The first visit involves taking an accurate silicone impression of your teeth and clinical records and digital photographs. There are no temporaries, because none are needed. There is no anesthesia, because there is no pain involved.
The second visit occurs 2-3 weeks later, when we permanently glue the new Lumineers to your existing teeth. A special dental bonding agent is used, to insure a long-lasting, color-stable result. Final contouring and polishing occur at this second visit, which takes about 2 hours.
The third step is a follow-up visit about a week later, after you have had a chance to "test drive" your new smile. At the third visit, we just do any little final touch-ups and may make a couple of minor adjustments and take a few digital photographs in our mini-studio.
Afterward, there should be no sensitivity, because the procedure does not involve drilling down into the sensitive area on the internal aspect of your tooth. Most people do not even require an aspirin afterward.
Common questions people have about Lumineers:
What kind of results can you expect? For most situations, the results are immediate and dramatic. The dental results are a younger, whiter, smile. The social results are just as dramatic, and include increased confidence, and a more positive outlook, because you end up smiling a LOT more!
What if I already had veneers or bridges years ago? Can I still get Lumineers? Yes, as long as your existing dental work is healthy and solid. If there is no tooth decay or failing dental work, then we can place these contact-lens thin facings of new, brighter, whiter, porcelain right over the top of your old dental work. How long do Lumineers last? Lumineers by Cerinate have been clinically proven to last over 20 years.
How much do Lumineers cost? About $6000-12000 per smile for most situations. We have financing packages available that can allow the cost to be affordable to almost anyone.
How much are monthly payments? Using carecredit.com, and extended term financing, we can get your monthly payment down to $100 per month. One popular option is to use 0% APR financing for 3, 6, or 12 months, and this takes the payment down to approximately $500 to $700 per month.

And if you decide that it is not right for you, then there is absolutely no obligation.
Are Lumineers covered by dental insurance? Probably not, as they are usually purely cosmetic. Of course, we have multiple financing options to help make the procedure affordable for almost anyone.
