A Dental Checkup from Dr. Bayne at Paradise Valley Cosmetic Dental will help spot small problems before they become big problems. Dental Checkups are an important part of your regular dental visit.
After a perfect Dental Checkup, it is nice to have the confidence that you have no cavities, your bite is not causing premature wear of your molars, and there is no radiographic evidence of Periodontal Disease on your Digital X-Rays.
What exactly is it? A Dental Checkup is called a "Periodic Exam - Comprehensive", and takes about 10-15 minutes at the end of a cleaning appointment. Dr. Bayne will review your Digital X-Rays, examine your teeth for evidence of cavities or premature wear, examine the "seal" of your existing dental work, screen your gums, tongue, lips, inner cheeks, and palate for evidence of oral cancer or other pathology, and answer any specific questions or concerns that you may have. He may also recommend certain products or techniques that you can use at home on a daily basis in order to maintain your clean, healthy mouth.
How much does it cost? About $50-80, depending on what type.
